Still
Peredvizhniki, Van Duke, Leonardo Da Vinci, Alexei L. Antonov, and every other masters of art has paved the way for future artists to develop their talents. Nothing, however, can be said about the magnificantness of their works for that they are beyond great... they have left us pieces of their souls behind, so we can be inspired by it. However...the rules they set for us can be changed or ignored if they have no real importance. For example, the 7 layer technique Alexei L. Antonov has based his works upon has no real value to me. I believe that no artist should waste his/her time on only one piece of work for 14 weeks or 3 and a half months only the purpose of perserving the painting for future generations. Maybe i'm wrong. I have only recently explored the world of art, and this has occured to me as the bizzarest thing so far. Some ppl can argue that one masterpiece is better than 1000 pieces of nothing. and i agree. But the 7 layer technique still seems very meaningless to me...
